Past project: FOX Studios:

The modern trend of including the staff and the working environment of a television studio in the background of broadcast views of Presenter(s) was one of the essential ingredients in the design of this studio. This is a small studio that includes associated control rooms, editing facilities off to the sides and general ‘hot desk’ facilities for reporters and staff in the central area.

Hiding all light sources from view and controlling light distribution was paramount dictating aspects of the interior design. Equally, attention to detail and position of luminaires to avoid providing any alight onto the multiple monitors and screens to prevent veiling reflections was essential.

Surface finishes and the appropriate quantity of light on any surface are important aspects of brightness control and optimum contrast for television broadcast.
